A Conversation on Emotional Resilience – Is Music the Answer?
“I’m such a failure!”
“I hurt people, and it’s all my fault.”
Spoken words of negativity.
We may have overheard such conversations amongst strangers or have had such talks with friends. Why do we have such negative thoughts? How did such perceptions appear in our minds? Thoughts of such can affect our emotions. Do such negative emotions affect our health and our relationships with our family, friends, and colleagues?
What can we do then to improve our relationships with people? How can we foster emotional resilience to improve our quality of life for ourselves and for the people around us?
Eileen Chai, a former national athlete-turned-musician & educator, will share briefly of her journey with her mental health condition, and how music has helped her & the people around her.

Youth Music Day (2nd December 2021)
3am Music Collective (3amMC) use music as the medium to give hope and show empathy to people with troubled minds.
At this session, 3amMC will talk about the music ecosystem. How does this work?
All children should have a happy childhood, filled with love, security and beautiful experiences. A supportive environment helps buffer children from the effects of stress so that they can develop important life skills such as communication, love and empathy–the building blocks of resilience. Kids become youths, their life skills continue to be grow where they show kindness to the community and pick up positive challenges naturally. As educators, we help guide to spark their curiosity to empower them while they are still young. How do we build resilience in our kids? How can we empower our youths? How can we ignite the spark in their young minds? Join us to find out more. There will be a performance by the Strings For Kindness..
