A former national athlete in gymnastics, athletics and springboard diving, is a recipient of the Nanyang Outstanding Young Alumni Award, Singapore Olympic Academy Roll of Honour, Junior Chamber International Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Singapore Merit Award and still holds the record of being the youngest competitor at the Southeast Asian Games at the age of 7.

About Eileen Chai

Eileen in collaboration with the Singapore Kindness Movement’s Ground-Up
Movement where young violinists play their violins to bring cheers to the
community, promote and foster a kind an gracious society. They are called
the Strings for Kindness.

With the dream of encouraging people from all walks of life to share their
stories and pass forward their life lessons learnt, she wrote a book,
“Teach a Life, for Life”, one of the best sellers at Kinokuniya (July) and Times
(September) 2014 and started to compose her own music via live looping.

Recently, she and her husband initiated a mental health project,
“3am Music Collective”, to give hope and show empathy to people with
troubled minds, through music. Music creation will be a collaborative effort
with not only established musicians of different ethnic groups, but also with
the younger generation of musicians. It will include classical musicians and
composers as well.
